VETS-4212 Filing Services

What is the VETS-4212 Report?

Many companies that have a contract or subcontract with the Federal Government are required to annually report on their efforts to employ protected veterans. This report is submitted using form VETS-4212. The requirement to file form VETS-4212 is mandated under 38 U.S. Code Section 4212, codified at 41 CFR 61-300.

Who needs to file?

The VETS-4212 Report should be filed if a business has a current federal government contract or subcontract worth $150,000 or more, regardless of the number of employees. The contract or subcontract may be with any department or agency of the United States for the procurement of personal property or non-personal services.

What happens if you do not file?

Federal contractors and subcontractors who are required to file a VETS-4212 report but fail to do so will not be subject to fines, however, federal contracting agencies are prohibited from entering into a contract with companies that do not comply.
